Cats can be pretty finicky when it comes to food and treats. I know cats who are addicted to the "junk food" brands of kibble and won't eat anything else. Don't let your cat become like that! You want to introduce, or at least mix, higher quality food into their meals. This week, we are looking at one of our favorite brands, Only Natural Pet®!
Only Natural Pet Rabbit Nibblets Cat Treats
These little nuggets treats are made out of freeze-dried rabbit. These are very simple, yet very flavorful with rabbit, rabbit liver, rabbit kidney, rabbit heart, and mixed tocopherols (a natural preservative from Vitamin E). Rabbit Nibblets are made in the U.S.A. without any added antibiotics or hormones.

As soon as I presented the treat to Mr. Kitty, he grabbed my hand and helped himself!
I had to watch my fingers! He really really liked these and I have to say it is probably because of the fragrant meaty smell. Yum!
Only Natural Pet Wild Variety Pack Canned Cat Food
Wet cat food is wet cat food is wet cat food, right? Wrong. Take a look at the ingredients of this compared to what you find in the grocery store. Huge difference! You are gonna see more meat, no disgusting unknown byproducts, and what is so cool is that the fish is certified sustainable and the chicken is cage-free.
What makes the tuna in Only Natural Pet's canned cat food even more special is that it is pole & line caught. So wild tuna caught by hand for your cat! Carrageenan, the additive that is commonly used in pet food to gel up canned food and is the cause of health problems in many animals, is not found in this food which is a relief to many cat parents. Also, there isn't any synthetic Vitamin K called Menadione, which is another ingredient in pet food that causes liver issues over time. This food is hand packed in Thailand which is my only kinda "Ehh", but I have seen other high-quality cat food from Thailand and I trust ONP so I am not too worried,
As you can see, Smooshie really liked the canned food. We tried all the flavors and they were very well received. I had just put it down to take a photo and miss senior cat Smoosh hurried over to see what I had. Put a pep in her step!

Only Natural Pet Salmon & Cod RawNibs Freeze-Dried Cat Food Topper
I saved our favorite for last! These RawNibs are freeze-dried raw fish morsels and they have a super fragrant smell. Picky eaters beware, you might have met your match! You can use these as a balanced meal, a food topper, or even a treat. To use as a meal, just add some warm water and the morsels will rehydrate.
Mr. Kitty was waiting with anticipation as I let the RawNibs soak a bit. The smell of the U.S.A. caught fish was getting to him. So ingredient-wise we have Wild Salmon, Wild Cod, Lake Superior Cisco (this is a type of herring found in Lake Superior, the biggest of the Great Lakes in the U.S.), Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli, Apples, Raw Organic Goat's Milk, Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, Herring Oil, and a couple of preservatives. I love these ingredients and how simple it all is.
So as soon as I put the bowl down, Smooshie and Mr. Kitty went straight for it and very cutely shared their bounty. I think their faces say it all. This is a winner. What is great is that this adds water to their diet while still being similar to kibble, but a lot healthier!

ReplyDeleteI've been feeding all three of our cats Diamond Naturals dry food (with Kotoha, who will be one year old two weeks from today getting the kitten version). They get some canned food, too, but have mostly been eating the dry. My old girl, Moko (she's at least 10-1/2 - possibly older...found as a stray so we don't know her exact age) started having some health issues last fall and including having her worst allergies ever plus was diagnosed as a hyperthyroid kitty, she didn't want her regular food. The only thing I can get her to eat now is Friskies canned food (and she really only likes about four of the flavors - all with cheese). I wish she would eat healthier food, but at least she's gaining weight back on it (along with her medication).
