So we just moved, surprise! And we now have carpet. Pets and carpet don't mix very well, do they? Accidents happen and all good pet parents have some kind of cleaner on hand. Let's look at an affordable brand who offers a great odor and stain remover: OmegaPet!
OmegaPet was founded in 2012 and is based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. I was contacted to review their carpet cleaner/stain and odor remover. Knowing I was moving into a carpeted living area it was the perfect time to test it out. I was kind of skeptical because they do seem like a "no-name" brand, but they do have satisfied customers on Amazon and you shouldn't base a book on their cover, right?

Pee spot is all gone! |
So how does it work? The key to its effectiveness is the bio-enzymatic formula. The combination of enzymes and surfactant break down the pee and other odor causing ickiness. I do have to warn our readers that the fragrance is very perfume-like. I'm sensitive to certain smells and this does get me coughing a bit. A good thing is that all the ingredients are natural, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly.
Does this work with other things besides fresh pee? Why yes, it does! It is perfect for old pee stains and we have even tried it on some vomit which had the potential to do some serious staining. I had to repeatedly spray it every 10 minutes, and it worked out really well. I am sure this also will work really well for cat boxes, but be wary if your cat is sensitive to smells. One thing to note is that the results are very quick. I spray it and it immediately starts to foam up and do its thing. After dabbing it with the towel, there is no evidence there was ever a stain, except for some slight dampness which goes away within time.

In a Nutshell...
- OmegaPet was founded in 2012 and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Their Pet Odor and Stain Remover works well because of a bio-enzymatic formula getting rid of the odor or stain causing nastiness.
- It works well on all kinds of stains, new and old, and works fast!
- You can find OmegaPet's Pet Odor & Stain Remover at their store or on Amazon
Considering I was going into this review extremely skeptical, I was thoroughly surprised! It is easily comparable to name brands and I love how fast and efficient it works. Thumbs up from us! Ain't nobody got time to sit around cleaning up pee!

My cat gets a little too excited when i give him wet food that he will eat it super fast and sometimes puke it right back up! I could def use this cleaner to clean up kitty puke every week!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 Boston's and one is 11 years old. He has accidents about once a week, but I also foster and they will come in and have accidents.
ReplyDeleteWhenever one of dogs gets excited and happy she has a little accident.
ReplyDeleteWhenever they get excited.
ReplyDeleteMy old girl has quite a few so I have ben shampoing the carpet quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteMy cat has an accident maybe 2 times a month. Usually when I'm not home.
ReplyDeleteThankfully, not very often. My cats do have hairballs every so often though.
ReplyDeletei have 3 little gals, they have accidents if i leave them alone too long. my oldest has accidents a lot now. i have tarps on my floor, she has dementia, is almost blind, deaf and has terminal cancer. she still tries though. so i would say i have accidents several times a day. though today was a good day, did not have any.
ReplyDeleteI have 6 dogs & cats in the house. Between hairballs, barfing, piddles and piles - there is always something going on!
ReplyDeleteI would say 2-4 times a month.

They don't have potty accidents but we do get some vomit on the carpet at times and it needs a good pet enzymatic cleaner! We also have fosters sometimes that do but our dogs don't potty on the carpet
ReplyDeleteWe just got through a big move, too and now have lighter carpets. Need to get some good stain remover!
ReplyDeleteMaybe once a week when she gets hyper about people coming over to the house.
ReplyDeleteMy baby rarely has accidents, so I would say once a month.
ReplyDeleteUntil this time last year, my senior Treeing Walker Coonhound, Suki, was having frequent accidents in the house. We lost her on April 20th of last year and had a bit of a break, but more recently my senior cat, Moko, has been having health issues and one of the downsides is that she was wetting on furniture. Even when we got her to stop going on the furniture, she would still wet on the cat tree. It's to the point where I actually have attached a small litter box to the second level from the top. She spends most of her day on the smaller, upper level, which is also where I put her food. She's been doing better - only going in the box (although it's small and sometimes she puts her butt too close to the side and misses). Today, though, she pointedly peed on a suitcase sitting near the cat tree. I would love a product like this to get rid of the odor.
ReplyDeleteMy dogs don't have accidents except when they're left in the house too long.
ReplyDeleteVery rarely my cats will have an accident. Only if they get stuck in a bedroom and cant get to the litter box.
ReplyDeleteI have a older male cat that has an accident about one a week
ReplyDeleteOur american eskimo is very good, and only has an accident if we are gone a really long time. Our pomchi is temperamental. He will purposely go if we do something that makes him mad. Our cat is fairly good too, but she gets a little sick if she gets anxious
ReplyDeleteMollie still has quite a bit of accidents we've had her for 2 months now and shes still a puppy at 5 months. Shes doing good but still has lot of accidents
ReplyDeletesometimes if we have a long day at work and they're by themselves for a long day
ReplyDeleteBetween our dog and our cat, I'd say once every two weeks. Our dog is 14 years old so things happen...and our cat - well, you know those furballs. Lol
ReplyDeleteAbout once a week, she gets anxiety and she hides and goes.
ReplyDeleteI have five senior dogs, so accidents happen a lot. I baby-gate my one dog in the kitchen when gone, and probably at least two out five times, she'll pee. But that's an easy place to clean up messes.
ReplyDeleteAll the time.
ReplyDeleteDixie rarely has an accident but has a nervous bladder and has squirted when stressed like someone trying to grab at her
ReplyDeleteOur dog has an accident maybe once every monnth or two
ReplyDeleteEvery couple of months, she may have an accident if she is not feeling good
ReplyDeleteAbout once or twice a year
ReplyDeleteOur dog has accidents maybe once per month
ReplyDeleteIt's not that bad, but my senior Monty gets confused and has an accident about once a month.
