Let's get serious for a couple of seconds. July is Lost Pet Prevention Month because on the day after July 4th in the U.S., shelters are at their busiest. Every two seconds a pet becomes lost in North America, but sadly only 1 in 10 pets will be reunited.
This can be prevented with identification tags and microchips. I cannot stress these enough and both my girls have an identification tag (it has their name, my name, my phone number, and my address) a PetHub tag (because they are cute and if you scan the QR code it has additional info like medical issues), their rabies tag, and they are microchipped (these can be scanned for my info if they lose their collar).
