Raw food for dogs has been increasing in popularity over the years and many, like myself, are still not too sure about it. What makes it a more feasible option for some is having prepackaged raw food that is easy to prepare for your dog.

I was able to test a box of Stewart Raw Naturals Chicken Recipe for Small Dogs which is a pure freeze-dried dog food made in the USA!

This dog food comes in freeze-dried patties which make it super easy to prepare! There are three sizes: small, medium, and large, depending on how big your dog is, and there are two flavors, chicken, and beef. Each box is equal to approximately 8 cans of dog food!

All you have to do is use the handy chart to figure out how many patties to crumble up, add water, and serve to your dog. You can also use this as a topper to another dog food.

These all natural human grade ingredients make me want to dance! I love the chicken and veggies! Raw Naturals is shelf-stable and doesn't need a freezer, which is needed if you are feeding a traditional raw diet.

I crushed the patties, which wasn't too hard and added ~3 tablespoons of water. I added a bit more and mixed it because not all of it was getting wet. After five minutes, the above picture is what you end up with! Looks pretty good!

It took a while for her to come up for air, lol, but it is Bailey approved!

Jada couldn't have any because she is allergic to some of the ingredients, so Dottie volunteered to be a taste tester! She got twice as many patties and loved every bit of it!

If I fed my dogs the raw diet I would love to feed this to them as a topper or as a full meal! I am already impressed by Stewart's freeze-dried treats, and I am seeing the same high quality in their food.

    Very good! We lub raw diets and this one looks good - and how sweet that the little pieces are in heart shapes!!

    That's great! I've been curious about the benefits of a raw diet, but it seems like a lot of work, so this sounds like a great option, the freeze dried raw dog food.

    That sounds great! I'm working on moving my kitties to a raw diet and I love the commercially prepared foods too. I bet the dogs love this one.

    It's great that they make it available like this; I know the major turn off from raw is often the prep involved. Looks pretty good to me, and I know Laika would agree.

    Yum! Looks like a good one. We have been experimenting with Raw for about 6 months now and I love that its becoming easier to do it with so many great commercial products on there.
